Benidorm's Best Street Markets

Regular visitors to the Costa Blanca will know all about Benidorm’s famous street markets and probably have their favourite. These markets are one of the city’s main attractions, with so much to see and do. Whether you’re doing your daily shop if you’re staying in an apartment or house, or grabbing a bite before heading to one of the city’s many restaurants, Benidorm’s street markets are a big part of its charm.

The Rastro de Benidorm

The so-called ‘Rastro de Benidorm’ (Benidorm Flea Market) is actually named Antigüedades El Cisne and is located on Avenida de la Comunitat Valenciana.

Interestingly, it gets its name because it’s situated very close to an antique shop called Cisne. It’s open on Thursdays, Saturdays, and like other street markets in Benidorm, also on Sundays, all year round from 9:00 to 14:00. It’s perfect for a morning of shopping followed by a snack before lunch. Although it’s a bit smaller than some of the other markets, its 200 stalls are packed with antiques, collectables, decorations, second-hand items, vintage clothing, and more. There’s usually live music in the food area, too! If you want to get there by public transport, you can take the number 10 urban bus.

With around 320 stalls, it offers everything from food and fresh produce to clothing, florists, and anything else you can imagine.

It’s located in a lively area with plenty of restaurants and bars, so make the most of your visit and enjoy the local cuisine.

It’s open in July, August, and September in the evenings from 20:30 to 23:30. You’ll find it at Plaza de Santa Ana, just before the Balcón del Mediterráneo. Probably the best views in Benidorm, with the sea right in front, Poniente Beach to one side, and Levante Beach to the other.

When is the best time to visit Benidorm?

Almost all year round is a good time to visit this part of the country, but the summer months guarantee the warmest and best weather, especially if you’re more interested in the beach. However, the autumn months have their advantages, too: less tourism (which means more peace and quiet), lower prices, and the weather is still good, so you can do many of the same things you can do in Benidorm in summer. Of course, some of Benidorm’s street markets only take place during the summer months.
